Greetings Sorors!

 

We are excited for you to join us at the 2025 Alabama State Association Leadership Conference in Florence, Alabama, as we gather to handle the business of the sorority. Your willingness to serve Awesome Alabama is greatly appreciated and the 2025 Nominating Committee looks forward to featuring our future leaders of the Alabama State Association (ASA). We ask that you read this document in its entirety so that you may submit a completed nomination packet for review. Please include your signed checklist with the date of completion with the candidate packet.

 

The offices open for election during the 2025 ASA Leadership Conference are: Tamias, Phylacter, Nominating Committee Chair and Member to the Nominating Committee (2 positions).

 

Important Nomination Guidelines 

 

Candidates who miss the submission deadline or submit an incomplete Nomination Packet will not be considered for the nomination process.

If you plan to run from the floor, you must submit a completed Nomination Packet—meeting all requirements outlined in the official packet, including all required signatures—via the provided QRC. DocuSign signatures will be accepted as valid and binding for all required documents within the Nomination Packet. The packet must be submitted within 20 minutes following the close of the Business Session to the Alabama State Nominating Committee. 

 

Please refer to the ASA Bylaws for detailed information on the duties and qualifications for each office. Note: All candidates must be ZOL certified to be eligible for election.
 

Vetted ASA candidates will be given the opportunity to deliver a campaign speech, limited to two (2) minutes.

To appear on the official ballot, all candidates must be:

• Registered

• Vetted by the Nominating Committee

• Present at the 2025 Alabama State Associates Leadership Conference
